Chef’s Profile

I’m passionate about feeding people. It’s one of those crazy character traits that you inherit in your life. In my case it was a ‘gift’ from my grandparents and parents who were always busy hosting exceptional celebrations, upholding relationships and linking their worlds to everything and everybody. Food and cooking are acts that connect us to a whole web of social and ecological relationships. Cuisines worldwide are the result of artisan skills and ancient practices developed over millennia that have been passed down to us from generation to generation, which is why what we eat is heavily influenced by our family and culture.
I believe, at its essential core, that food is linked to culture as a way to continually improve peoples lives. Food not only sustains our wellbeing but most measurably brings us happiness. As Dr. Gulio Rengade wrote in 1887 – “love, home and food are the three components of a happy existence…
